CLVH Welcomes Dr. Libby McVey!
Please join us in welcoming a new member to our CLVH family! On January 16th, Libby McVey, D.V.M. will join our veterinary team. She graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Animal Science (1996), obtained her D.V.M. from the University of Wisconsin (2000), and completed an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York. Dr. McVey worked for eight years as an emergency veterinarian. Her special interests include ophthalmology, internal medicine, and surgery.
Dr. McVey has been a resident of Crystal Lake since 2004 where she lives with Rubin, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and Neo, the Wonder Cat. She enjoys kayaking, hiking, and knitting. Rubin enjoys swimming and fetching tennis balls. Neo enjoys lying in sunspots or on the latest knitting project.
It is with mixed emotion that we also announce that Ande Wegner, D.V.M will be leaving our practice. She is returning to her home town to be closer to her family. In her own words “I will greatly miss my extended family at CLVH! Thanks to you all for allowing me to grow and learn under your guidance. It has been an honor. To my
clients – thank you all for letting me a part of your pets’ lives. All of you are the reason that CLVH continues to thrive. I will miss you all and I hope to not be a stranger!”
We wish Dr. Wegner well in her new ventures. We will miss her and know that many of you will too.
Our sincere thanks for your confidence and support during the past year. Our entire staff wishes you a happy holiday season and a healthy New Year.
News Flash!
We have just installed a new, state of the art digital imaging system. What does this mean? Better quality medicine for your pets. Diagnosing your pet with radiographs is now easier, less time-consuming, and above all, more thorough and precise. Just thought we'd let you know that we're always investing in ways to practice better medicine.

PROJECT BREATHE
Our own Dr. Nick continues his work to train firemen to use pet oxygen masks to save the lives of dogs, cats and other small pets caught in fires and who suffer from smoke inhalation.
